Consumer Sentiment

The Consumer Sentiment Index measures the population's view of the current position and future prospects of the respective country.  The index takes into account the general and personal economic situation and personal expectations of the next 12 months. Manufacturers, retailers, banks, governments and others monitor changes in the Consumer Sentiment Index in order to factor in the data in their decision-making processes.
